It's not a Switch 2, but boy do I want one.

There's a Lego Game Boy coming this fall.

Nintendo

Nintendo is expected to announce a Switch 2 any day now. So of course, it's announced a Lego Game Boy.

The surprise news dropped today from Nintendo's own social accounts as CES draws to a close. This isn't an actual Game Boy: It's a model built from Lego. But we can dream, right?

Game Boys have been hot lately. The Analogue Pocket and Chromatic have brought the Game Boy back to life with new hardware, while plenty of indie designers have been making new Game Boy games.

There have been plenty of Lego Nintendo kits already on the market, from interactive Mario sets to that fantastic NES recreation. This Game Boy idea is my favorite of all, though. Maybe it's because I still have so many memories of mine.

October is a while away, but if you want to make one in the meantime, here's a model you could try.
